• The Conference underscores that the Treaty rests on three pillars: nuclear non-proliferation, nuclear disarmament and peaceful uses of nuclear energy and agrees that these pillars represent a set of interrelated and mutually reinforcing obligations and rights of States parties.

• Item 17. Role of the Treaty in the promotion of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and nuclear disarmament in strengthening international peace and security and measures aimed at strengthening the implementation of the Treaty and achieving its universality
  فعلى سبيل المثال، باستثناء استخدام المواد النووية كوقود للمفاعلين، لا يجري في البلد الاضطلاع بأي أنشطة أو بحوث لها صلة بدورة الوقود النووي ولا توجد مواد أولية في الشكل الذي ينص عليه البروتوكول.
• Pending the achievement of nuclear disarmament, the Conference calls upon the nuclear-weapon States to resolve further to restrict the deployment of nuclear weapons, their operational readiness and their potential role as defined in national security doctrines.
  وتشمل الضوابط المعمول بها ما يلي:
• The Conference reaffirms that the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons is the cornerstone of the global nuclear non-proliferation regime and the essential foundation for the pursuit of nuclear disarmament, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Treaty.
  واليورانيوم المنضب الذي يُستخدم كواق في أجهزة العلاج بالكوبالت أصبح معفى من الرقابة في إطار الضمانات بعد أن وافقت الوكالة على ذلك؛
• The Conference pledges urgent efforts, especially in the Conference on Disarmament, to pursue and implement options for enhanced multilateral and other action on nuclear disarmament, including compliance aspects, and appeals to all members of the Conference on Disarmament to demonstrate the necessary flexibility to enable adoption of a programme of work that will advance crucial NPT-related tasks.
  (ب) لائحة التراخيص والمراقبة والرصد والمخالفات والجزاءات المتصلة بالقانون رقم 28028، التي اعتُمدت بموجب المرسوم السامي رقم 041-2003 ، وهي تنظم الالتزامات المتصلة بالتراخيص التي يجب الحصول عليها من أجل الاضطلاع بأنشطة تستخدم مصادر الإشعاع، وكذلك إجراءات المراقبة والجزاءات في حالة مخالفة قواعد السلامة؛
• The Conference seeks affirmation by the nuclear-weapon States that they will place, as soon as practicable, fissile material designated as no longer required for weapons purposes under IAEA or other relevant international verification, and, welcoming work already undertaken on the development of verification capabilities for nuclear disarmament, urges that such work be initiated by those nuclear-weapon States not already doing so.
  (ج) لائحة السلامة الإشعاعية، التي اعتُمدت بموجب المرسوم السامي رقم 009-97، والتي تنص على الشروط التقنية للسلامة والحماية من الإشعاع المؤين، بالنسبة للعمال المعرضين له وكذلك بالنسبة لعامة الناس والمرضى الذين يُفحصون بواسطة الأشعة؛
• En août 2006, dans le cadre du projet intitulé « Working our way to nuclear disarmament » (Nous préparer pour le désarmement nucléaire), l'UNIDIR a tenu un séminaire sur les garanties de sécurité négatives, au cours duquel sont intervenus l'Ambassadeur Ousmane Camara, Représentant permanent du Sénégal et Président de la Conférence du désarmement, le professeur Jozef Goldblat, associé principal, John King, Directeur du Business Humanitarian Forum, et Sola Ogunbanwo, conseiller principal pour la zone exempte d'armes nucléaires en Afrique.
  في إطار المشروع المعنون ”مواصلة مسيرتنا نحو نزع السلاح النووي“، عقد المعهد في آب/أغسطس 2006 حلقة دراسية عن الضمانات الأمنية السلبية. وكان من المتكلمين في المؤتمر السفير عثمان كمارا، الممثل الدائم للسنغال ورئيس مؤتمر نزع السلاح؛ والأستاذ جوزيف غولدبلات، زميل أقدم مقيم؛ وجون كينغ، مدير المنتدى الإنساني للأعمال التجارية؛ وسولا أوغونبانوو، كبير الاستشاريين الخبراء بشأن المنطقة الخالية من الأسلحة النووية في أفريقيا.
• The Conference recalls the Principles, Objectives and Undertakings for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament including the principles of irreversibility, transparency, verifiability and undiminished security for all.

• M. Smith a également fait un exposé à l'intention des ONG et des délégués sur le rapport de l'IEER intitulé NATO and Nuclear Disarmament: An Analysis of the Obligations of the NATO Allies of the United States under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (« L'OTAN et le désarmement nucléaire : analyse des obligations des alliés des États-Unis au sein de l'OTAN aux termes du Traité sur la non-prolifération des armes nucléaires et du Traité d'interdiction complète des essais nucléaires ») (octobre 2003).
  وقام الدكتور برايس سميث أيضا بإحاطة المنظمات غير الحكومية والمندوبين بشأن تقرير معهد أبحاث الطاقة والبيئة عن منظمة حلف شمال الأطلسي ونزع السلاح النووي: تحليل لالتزامات حلفاء الولايات المتحدة في منظمة حلف شمال الأطلسي بموجب معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية ومعاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب (تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2003).
